(The following is a press release provided by Ricky Buttacavoli)
The Orange Carpet is coming to Montgomeryville.
On Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 (Mischief Night) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the 3rd Annual Doggy Halloween Costume Parade and Contest returns with a brand-new theme, “Montgomery Mall Goes Pawllywood!”
What began as a fun Halloween event has grown into something larger, a reminder of how our malls can once again serve as town centers where neighbors gather, small businesses connect, and families come together for safe and uplifting community experiences. This free event invites everyone to celebrate their pets while supporting the mall and local commerce that help keep our communities strong.
Lineup begins at 4:30 p.m. inside the lower-level rotunda between Macy’s and JCPenney. The evening will feature a parade through the mall corridors, guest judges, prizes, vendors, and photo opportunities. It all happens indoors, rain or shine, making it an easy way to enjoy the season and show support for our regional mall.
Why Events Like This Matter
Pennsylvania’s kennels and animal shelters are facing serious overcrowding, staffing shortages, and rising costs. Every adoption and every act of responsible pet ownership helps ease that strain. Licensing your dog in Pennsylvania is not just a formality, it protects pets, helps reunite lost animals with their families, and directly funds shelters and animal control programs across the state.
Dog parks, pet events, and community spaces all play a role in keeping our pets healthy, socialized, and safe. They also remind us that our animals are family. Bringing people together around that simple truth strengthens both our communities and our compassion.
Vendor Participation
Vendor tables are free, and local pet related businesses such as rescues, groomers, daycares, and boutiques are invited to take part. Vendors may bring their own tables or request one of a limited number of six-foot tables.
Although participation is free, we kindly encourage a small donation to Ricky’s Pride, which helps fund inclusive and creative community events throughout Montgomery County.
