One motorcyclist is left dead after an accident along Route 309 in Bucks County Friday night.
According to county dispatch, first responding units were called out on Friday, Oct. 10 around 9:47 p.m. for the reports of a Critical Traffic Accident in West Rockhill Township. The incident occurred on Route 309 in the southbound lanes, just before the Street Road/Route 152 Exit, south of the Lawn Avenue exit.
Traffic at this time is coming through slowly via one open lane, however authorities at the scene report that traffic is likely soon to be closed southbound beginning at Lawn Avenue.
A semi-truck is pulled over at the scene, as well, though it is unknown if its driver is in any way involved. Another motorcycle is nearly one-quarter of a mile from the incident's location, propped up on its kickstand along the center-lane wall of the roadway. This particular motorcycle is reportedly not the one driven by the deceased, so it is unknown if another rider was with the victim at the time of impact. Authorities could not verify details at this time.
Pennsylvania State Police are at the scene, along with Sellersville Fire Company, multiple area fire police, and other first responders. The Medic 151 ambulance from Grandview was initially at the scene, but as the incident was classified as a Class 5 (fatal), they were cleared from scene.
More information will be published as it is made available. Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time.
