Warminster Township will kick off the holiday season on Dec. 1 with its annual Holiday Tree & Menorah Lighting Ceremony, a free outdoor celebration held at the township administration building.
The event runs from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is sponsored by the Warminster Rotary Club.
Township officials said families can expect festive performances, community giving and plenty of seasonal cheer. The William Tennent High School Choir will perform holiday music, and Bucks Bubbles will transform part of the grounds into a snow-themed play area for children.
The Rotary Club will serve free hot chocolate, cookies and light snacks, along with small holiday gifts while supplies last.
A visit from Santa Claus highlights the evening, joined by Elsa and Olaf from "Frozen." Santa will lead guests in a countdown to illuminate two Christmas trees and the township’s menorah.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item or supermarket gift card for the Warminster Food Bank. Donations collected will support local families in need during the holiday season.
Representatives scheduled to attend include Warminster Parks and Recreation Director Jessica Fox, Rotary Club President Katie Farrell and Warminster Food Bank Executive Director Mike Cerino.
