Plumstead Township Police is offering free Project Childsafe gun locks to local firearms owners.
The partnership promotes safe and responsible firearm ownership and storage, police said. As part of this initiative, the department has received cable lock gun locks that are available to the public at its station.
These gun locks are designed to help prevent unauthorized access to firearms, reducing the risk of accidents and misuse, police said. Each lock comes with a safety tips booklet and secure storing directions to ensure that you have the knowledge and resources needed to store firearms safely.
“We encourage all firearm owners to take advantage of this opportunity to prioritize safety and responsibility. By storing your firearms securely, you can help prevent tragedies and ensure a safer community for everyone,” police said.
