Zest Culinary Services and three local culinary partners — Bake Ability, Lula and Service Events — are joining forces to support the Bucks County Housing Group and Philabundance’s Healthy Pantry Initiative — bringing fresh, nutritious food to neighbors in need.
Between now and Dec. 16, community members can drop off donations at one of the following participating locations, according to a news release:
• Bake Ability — Buckingham Green Shopping Center
• Lula — 41 East State Street, Doylestown
• Servis Events — Plumstead Fire Company
• Zest Culinary Services — Point Pleasant Fire Company
Suggested items include whole grains, canned beans, low-sodium soups, nut butters, and other nutrient-rich staples like canned chicken, fish, fruits and vegetables, according to the release.
Zest Culinary Services Co-owner and Managing Partner Melissa Wieczorek said their industry revolves around creating, sharing and celebrating food, thus it is a chance to give back and ensure everyone has wholesome meals.
Contact Zest Culinary Services at 215-919-9865 for more information about the food drive or how to contribute items.
