Police departments across Bucks County launch holiday giving programs

Agencies in Warrington, Doylestown, New Britain and Perkasie collecting toys, gifts and donations for families in need

Police departments across the Central Bucks region are kicking off a series of holiday charity programs, offering residents several ways to support local children and families this season.

In Warrington Township, police are preparing for their seventh annual “Shop with a Cop” event, held in early December at the Walmart Supercenter in Warrington. Officers volunteer their time to shop with elementary students from Barclay, Mill Creek and Titus Elementary Schools, helping them select gifts for family members and something small for themselves. Families are identified in partnership with school staff, and the program is funded entirely through grants and community donations.

Residents wishing to support the event may mail or drop off donations at the Warrington Township Police Department, 2330 Lower Barness Road, Warrington, PA 18976. Cash or checks made payable to the Warrington Township Police Benevolent Association should include “Shop with a Cop” in the memo line. Anyone with questions may contact Officer Kozuch at [email protected].

The Central Bucks Regional Police Department in Doylestown Borough is again serving as a drop-off location for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. New, unwrapped toys may be placed in the collection bin in the police foyer at 229 N. Broad Street during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Donations will be accepted until December 11, 2025. Central Bucks Regional Police covers the boroughs of Doylestown, New Britain, and Chalfont.

In New Britain Township, police have launched their annual Giving Tree, located in the department lobby. The tree is decorated with tags listing the age and gift wish of local children. Residents may select a tag, purchase the corresponding gift, wrap it and return it to the lobby with the tag attached (left blank). The deadline is Dec. 8 for green tags and December 12 for white tags. Gift receipts placed inside the wrapping are preferred. Police will deliver all gifts in time for Christmas.

Perkasie Borough Police are also partnering with the Toys for Tots program for 2025. A donation box is set up in the lobby at 311 S. 9th Street, where residents may drop off new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. All donations should be made by December 11, 2025.

Police departments emphasized that community participation plays a key role in helping local families and ensuring children across the region experience a brighter holiday season.
