A Perkasie Borough woman charged with aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct involving fighting for an alleged altercation at a Doylestown Borough bar over the summer has been granted access to the Bucks County Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program.
Sentencing notes indicate a one-year probationary period in the program for Rebecca Barraclough, 38, of the 400 block of Juliana Way.
If Barraclough successfully completes her program, then charges would be dismissed. However, if she is unsuccessful in the ARD program, then all charges would be reinstated against her, court records show.
Acceptance into the ARD program is not an admission of guilt, per the state statute.
Barraclough was arrested June 1, 2025, following an incident at Chambers 19, at 19 N. Main Street in Doylestown Borough, police said.
Police were called to the bar after reports of a disorderly patron who was allegedly physically fighting with employees and other patrons and refusing to leave the establishment.
Upon arrival, officers encountered Barraclough, who, police said, resisted efforts to remove her from the premises.
During the altercation, she allegedly grabbed one officer by the throat.
Barraclough repaid $1,979 in court costs, fines, fees, and restitution, according to court records. She must also complete 10 hours of community service, and is banned from Chambers 19, per court order. She is also prohibited via court order from contact with both victims.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
