A Paterson, N.J. man is facing multiple felony charges after Plumstead Township Police linked him to a July theft in which a 76-year-old woman’s credit and debit cards were allegedly stolen from her vehicle in Souderton and used for fraudulent purchases.

Ramon L. Rosario, 40, was arraigned Nov. 8 on three felony counts each of identity theft, access device fraud and receiving stolen property, police said. His bail was set at 10% of $200,000, and he remains jailed in the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Police said the incident began around 6:45 p.m. July 10, 2025, when the victim reported her cards stolen from her blue Honda Odyssey after it was parked in Souderton Borough while she visited the pool with her grandchildren between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

When she returned to her vehicle, her purse appeared undisturbed, but her credit and debit cards were gone. She soon received calls from Discover and other financial institutions alerting her to fraudulent transactions on her accounts, police said.

Investigators subsequently identified Rosario as a suspect, and he was transported to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department on Nov. 7 for processing before being lodged in county jail.

The Plumstead Township Police investigation remains ongoing.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
