Plumstead Township Police charged two Brooklyn, NY men in connection with the overnight theft of a 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor from Fred Beans of Doylestown car dealership, a case that stretched across several states and relied heavily on license plate recognition technology to pinpoint the suspects’ movements.

Brandon Francis Beard, 32, who is free on $500,000 unsecured bond, awaits a Dec. 17 pre-trial hearing on two felony counts each of theft by unlawful taking of movable property and receiving stolen property, according to court records.

Beard is being arraigned Friday on a misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking of movable property charge stemming from an October arrest in New Britain Township for an offense allegedly committed in June 2025.

Kafele D. Holder, 32, who posted 10% of $75,000 cash bail, will be formally arraigned in Bucks County Common Pleas Court Dec. 1 on felony charges of theft by unlawful taking of movable property, receiving stolen property, and associated conspiracy charges. All charges were waived at an Oct. 27 preliminary hearing.

Police said the theft occurred after the dealership had closed on June 30, 2025, with staff discovering the missing vehicle the following morning, July 1, at Fred Beans Ford, located at 876 N. Easton Road in Plumstead. Detectives learned the Raptor was stolen “under the cloak of darkness” and later found to be traveling on a stolen license plate.

The dealership is located at the intersection with Saw Mill Road and near the Doylestown Bypass.

Using an LPR camera, authorities spotted the Raptor crossing the New Hope Bridge into New Jersey, closely followed — just 0.2 seconds later — by a white Hyundai Palisade with New Jersey registration, police said. Additional hits from Plumstead’s LPR system, along with surveillance video provided by area businesses, led investigators to identify the Palisade as a second vehicle involved in the theft.

Several days later, a commercial LPR camera along the I-95 corridor in Virginia captured the same stolen plate that had been placed on the Raptor. Police said the vehicle was en route to Houston, Texas, before being located and recovered in Georgia, then returned to the dealership.

Detectives ultimately identified two of three suspects as Holder and Beard. Beard was arraigned on July 10, 2025 and arraigned

Beard is represented by Philadelphia attorney Thomas Kenny. Holder is represented by a public defender.

Police have not yet identified the third suspect.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
