It’s become increasingly clear that CBSD Neighbors United and their candidates are not interested in focusing on academics, leadership, or the success of our students. Their track record on the current board already speaks volumes of confusion, division, and a steady decline in public trust. Instead of addressing real issues like academic achievement, classroom support, and fiscal responsibility, their attention has been on political theater, social media attacks, and rewriting the truth to fit their narrative.
Now, as they try to push new candidates into office, they’re continuing that same tired playbook — avoid the facts, twist words, and create noise to distract from their lack of solutions or vision for Central Bucks.
Case in point: I recently spoke about how a number of significant spending decisions, grade realignment, renovating eight elementary schools at one time, and the rollout of full-day kindergarten (which I am 1000% in favor of), contributed to the financial pressure that forced the board to reach deeper into taxpayers’ pockets. That was a simple, factual observation about budget priorities, not opposition to full-day kindergarten. As a father of four children, I know full well the importance and benefits a full day kindergarten can offer our youngest learners — but because CBSD Neighbors United can’t debate on substance, they twist, manipulate, and post out-of-context clips to stir up false narratives.
And we have to ask ourselves, is this the kind of “leadership” we want to keep electing?
Leaders who twist words to create nonsense content and clickbait?
Leaders who don’t understand the difference between local education issues and national politics
Leaders who only find their voice when they’re criticizing others instead of leading themselves?
That’s not leadership. That’s incompetence.
Clearly, the panic from the other side is showing. As we approach Election Day, their desperation is becoming obvious. They’re reaching for anything they can find to shoot down the credibility of our incredible team — a team made up of parents, professionals, and community members who actually care about the overall success of Central Bucks.
If you’re so confident in your record, start talking about yourselves. Talk about the district. Talk about the students, the teachers, and how you plan to fix the problems that you helped create. Because if your only “strategy” is to degrade your opponents, point fingers, and assign blame, dig up past non-issues from your opponents, then you’re not leading. You’re part of the problem!
It’s equivalent to a below-average defense attorney desperately seeking the jury’s attention by falsely attacking credibility because they have zero defense.
Let’s also be real and set the record straight about supporting candidates. It’s nearly impossible to agree 100% on every single topic with every supporter or endorser. That’s called being an independent thinker, and that’s how real leadership works. Maybe try polling your own candidates and see if they agree with all the nonsense and divisive posts that show up on the CBSDNU social pages. Something tells me you won’t like the results or get honest answers.
More importantly, we’ve been waiting all year for CBSD Neighbors United and their crew to admit their faults, shortcomings, and blatant disregard of how the Jamison Elementary situation was handled or, should we say, severely mishandled. But instead, they act like it never happened, like it was made up. Where is the concern? Where is the compassion? Where are the solutions for revamping the onboarding process for teachers, especially in our special education classrooms? Where is the commonsense leadership to ensure transparency? Where’s the plan for continued training to reassure the public that something like this will never happen again?
Once again, radio silence — as usual. Instead of taking accountability and showing leadership, the focus is on attacking the only candidates in this election who actually have the experience, the compassion, the drive, the outreach, a plan, some common sense, and the trust necessary to rebuild what has been demolished over the last couple of years.
Over the past several months, I’ve knocked on thousands of doors and one thing remains absolutely consistent: The community wants change and a fresh start. People are tired of division, distractions, and disrespect. They’re ready to vote for leadership that represents them. They care deeply about their kids and their neighbors’ kids. They care about how their hard-earned money is spent. And they care about the future readiness of every student who steps into a Central Bucks school.
Our district deserves better. Our families deserve better. And our kids especially deserve better.
It’s time for real leadership. Leadership that listens, that respects parents and teachers, that focuses on students and academics, and that uses transparency and accountability as guiding principles, not social media as a tool to twist the truth of their opponents.
Let’s get back to what matters most: our students, our schools, and our community.
Let’s get serious, for a change.
November 4th is tomorrow; please make an educated and informed decision on your kids’ education and let’s turn this around together for the betterment of the kids, the community and this amazing school district.
