The Oscar Hammerstein Museum & Theatre Education Center will be offering exciting events for the whole family on Saturday and Sunday at Highland Farm in Doylestown.
Saturday will be “Oh, what a beautiful mornin’” for kids and their grownups to color, dance, and learn Oscar’s lyrics in his home.
The “Younger Than Springtime” Family Singalong is geared for youngsters ages four to eight, but all are welcome to attend.
Between coloring and getting their faces painted, kids will learn songs from The Sound of Music," "Oklahoma!" "The King and I" and more in the Doylestown house where the lyrics were written.
Families may pay what they want – donations of $15 per adult are recommended. Reservations are required and can be booked at HammersteinMuseum.org.
On Sunday, June will be Bustin’ Out with tours and a used book sale.
After a tour of Oscar’s home at Highland Farm, visitors can leave with a sack full of books to bring to their home libraries. Bring your own bag or purchase a Hammerstein Museum souvenir tote bag.
All proceeds benefit Hammerstein Museum. Reservations are required. Visit HammersteinMuseum.org/tourhighlandfarm to book.
