Jefferson Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Mckinley Thomas, MBA, MSA, to the role of Vice President of Operations for Jefferson Lansdale Hospital.
In his role, Thomas oversees day-to-day hospital operations, including administrative and clinical functions. A seasoned healthcare executive, Thomas brings extensive experience in strategic planning, operational excellence, business growth and clinical care management.

Thomas previously served as Vice President of Operations for Surgical and Clinical Services at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, TX, an academic medical center and teaching hospital affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine. During his tenure, he guided strategic planning and financial performance across several clinical areas, including the Anesthesia, Surgery, Dialysis, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Neurosurgery and Transplant departments.
Earlier in his career, Thomas served as Director of Logistics and later as Chief of Health Professions Recruiting for the United States Air Force at Oxon Hill, Maryland. During this time, Thomas was responsible for directing all health professions recruiting operations across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from the University of Maryland University College (now University of Maryland Global Campus), a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
