Hilltown Township Police are on scene in the area of Conestoga Way and East Reliance Road after a black bear was found in a tree.

The public is asked to go inside and leave the bear alone.

Pennsylvania State Game Commission is en route to aid in safely relocating the mammal.

If authorities cannot safely get the bear out of the tree, then other measures would have to be taken to remove the bear, police said on Facebook.

Avoid the area.
