Election 2025: 12 candidates for Perkasie Borough Council secure ballot spots for November

Twelve Perkasie Borough Council candidates will proceed to the November general election following Tuesday, May 20’s primary election.

In the only primary contest, Jaclyn S. Cornelius secured the Democratic nomination in Ward 2 over Heather Armideo.

In Ward 1, Republican incumbent David Worthington, Republican Csaba Lorinczy, Democrat Lilli Benner and write-in Democrat Steve Nathan contended for two seats. In Ward 2, Democrats Cornelius and Armideo and Republican Joel Nieto contended for one seat.

In Ward 3, incumbent Republicans Scott Bomboy and Randy Faulkner and Democrats Joseph Green and Collin Garr contended for two seats. Also in Ward 3, Democrat Emma Hawkins and Republican Dale Schlegel Jr. contended for a two-year term.

In Ward 1, Benner received 225 votes, while Nathan received 89. On the Republican side, Worthington received 201 votes, while Lorinczy received 153.

In Ward 2, Cornelius defeated Armideo by a vote of 192-35 on the Democratic ballot, while Nieto received 157 votes on the Republican side.

In Ward 3, Green received 301 votes, while Garr received 282 votes. On the Republican side, Bomboy received 217 votes, while Faulkner received 204 votes. In addition, Hawkins received 315 votes, while Schlegel received 225 votes.

The results will remain unofficial until certified by the Bucks County Board of Elections.
