Police: Teen robbed of sneakers at gunpoint in New Britain Township Monday night

New Britain Township Police seek suspect who pulled gun after theft near Manor Drive

Police in New Britain Township are searching for a suspect who threatened to shoot a group of individuals after stealing a pair of sneakers during a confrontation Monday evening.

According to police, the incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Manor Drive. 

Police said three victims were sitting on a curb, when they were approached by two unknown individuals. One of the suspects reportedly stole a pair of sneakers from one of the victims, police said.

When the victims attempted to confront the suspects and retrieve the stolen shoes, one of the offenders turned around, displayed a firearm, and threatened them, stating, “I’m going to shoot you,” according to police.

No injuries were reported, and the suspects fled the scene.

Police have released an image of one of the suspects and are asking the public for help identifying the individual.
