Multiple vehicles were involved in an accident on Sunday afternoon in West Rockhill Township.
According to county dispatch, emergency crews were sent to the northbound lanes of Route 309 on Sunday around 1:24 p.m. for the report of a vehicular accident. Witnesses said that three vehicles were involved, and one person was reported as "ejected" from an involved automobile.
Two vehicles, both with heavy damages, remained at the scene, awaiting tow-truck removal. A silver four-door sedan had serious front-end damage, while a white SUV had rear damages. It was not clear how many individuals required emergency medical transport.
Route 309 Northbound lanes at the Lawn Avenue exit are closed at this time. The closure is expected to take some time to clear, according to a responding fire chief. Traffic is slowed throughout the vicinity, and drivers are asked to the avoid the area if possible.
