Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the early morning hours Tuesday outside the Wawa located at 10 Davisville Road.
According to the Warminster Township Police, the incident took place at 1:37 a.m., when a suspect emerged from a nearby tree line and entered the back seat of an unlocked, unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot.
When the vehicle's owner returned from the store and got inside, the suspect brandished a knife and ordered the victim to drive to multiple ATMs to withdraw cash, police said.
The victim complied, first driving to a PNC Bank in Warminster Township, followed by an FCCB ATM in the Justa Farms Shopping Center in neighboring Upper Moreland Township, according to police.
After obtaining the cash, the suspect instructed the victim to drive to the German Club in Warminster, where he exited the vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area, police said.
Police are continuing to investigate and ask that anyone with information contact Detective Steve Wojceichowski at the Warminster Township Police Department at (215) 672-1000.
