Easton Road closed Monday night for accident investigation

Authorities are on scene investigating reports of a body in the roadway

Route 611/Easton Road is closed between Park Road and Freedoms Way/Oxford Drive in Warrington Township Monday night due to a serious vehicle accident investigation by Warrington Police.

Around 8:38 p.m., Bucks County fire and rescue units reported that the road needed to be closed in both directions. At 9 p.m., police issued an alert that investigators were on location in front of Warrington Ambulance for an accident investigation.

The closure followed reports of an individual found in the roadway, and authorities eventually covered a sheet over the person by 10 p.m.

Authorities have not yet confirmed a death.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area. 

Warrington Police are being assisted by Warrington EMS.

Police are in location in front of Warrington Ambulance on Easton Road investigating a serious motor vehicle accident. Easton Road will be closed in both directions between Park Road and Oxford Drive for an extended period. Please use caution and avoid that area.
