The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy is gearing up once again to host its annual Perkiomen Stream Cleanup on Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to noon, with a corporate volunteer day on Friday, April 11.
This event is the largest single-day stream cleanup in the state of Pennsylvania with over 1,800 volunteers already signed up to volunteer this year!
The goal of this event is to remove as much litter as possible from local waterways, parks and open spaces, with assistance from volunteers. This initiative seeks to preserve and safeguard the land and water resources of our watershed while also engaging the community.

(Submitted Photo)The scope of the cleanup reaches the entirety of the Perkiomen Creek Watershed and surrounding areas with over 200 different sites ranging from Quakertown to Norristown and beyond.
The Conservancy needs your help to make the biggest impact on the health of area waterways this April. Cleanup sites can accommodate a variety of group sizes and ages so it’s easy to find a location that will work for you and/or your group.
Have a pick-up truck or trailer? Volunteer to be a Trash Transfer Crew Member and take the trash that was collected during the Cleanup to dumpsters from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.
