Charges of endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors were withdrawn at a preliminary hearing last month for a Dublin Borough man accused of providing alcohol to a minor, which sent them to the hospital for alcohol poisoning with a BAC of .228%.

Brian Willliam Vanderleeuw, 42, will be arraigned in Bucks County Court April 17 on misdemeanor charges of furnishing alcohol to minors and recklessly endangering another person, according to charging documents. A pre-trial guilty plea hearing is set for May 8, per court records.

On Oct. 26, 2024, Hilltown authorities were contacted by the father of the juvenile victim, who was at Doylestown Hospital with a .228% BAC, according to the affidavit.

Police said the juvenile consumed Svedka Blue Raspberry vodka at the home of another friend, who said the alcohol was purchased by her relative, Vanderleeuw.

Police learned from a Children and Youth case worker that Vanderleeuw allegedly purchased Tito's Handmade Vodka, New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Pink Lemonade Vodka, and the Svedka vodka, at the Fine Wine & Good Spirits in Dublin Borough.

Video surveillance from the liquor store shows Vanderleeuw inside the store and purchasing a list of liquor at 11:48 a.m. Oct. 26, police said.

Vanderleeuw is free on $100,000 unsecured bail.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
