Pedestrian struck, injured after being hit by minivan Friday night on Street Road

A pair of shoes, a hat, other belongings and spatters of blood on Street Road are what remained after a man was struck crossing the roadway Friday night in Warminster Township in front of Rey Azteca Mexican Restaurant and Debbie’s Place Sports Bar & Grill.

The injured pedestrian was transported with potentially life-threatening injuries to an area trauma center by Central Bucks EMS North out of Warwick.

According to Bucks County dispatch reports, a reporting party informed them that they believed the victim was not breathing.

The driver of the striking vehicle – a gray Dodge minivan – remained on scene and was cooperating with authorities. The van sustained a smashed windshield and damage to its front end.

Traffic on Street Road is partially disrupted between Hardman Lane and Newtown Road.

Investigators were questioning occupants of area businesses nearby for eyewitness accounts.

Warminster Police assisted at the scene.
