A Richlandtown Borough man is charged with attempted murder for shooting at a DoorDash driver for being late with his food.

Keilan Marshal McKeever, 32, remains at Bucks County jail on 10% of $200,000 cash bail, charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, and misdemeanor counts of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of a weapon, and disorderly conduct, according to charging documents.

According to court records, the incident occurred on the 100 block of Cherry Street around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

The victim, Khalik Lewis, 19, was nearly killed by the bullet, lodging in his sweatshirt, he told 6abc.com.

"It was through the hood. So I could poke a finger through the hood where it was,” Lewis said to 6abc.com.

Authorities allege McKeever was outside the house when Lewis pulled up to his house. He allegedly began flipping off Lewis and approached the car. Lewis then began honking his car and attempted to flee the scene.

"He said, 'Any reason you're so late?' and I said, 'I don't know?' because I had a DoubleDash.

"I was just really scared. So I floored it, obviously because he's coming up to my car, in my space," Lewis said to Action News.

McKeever allegedly fired a shot from a 9mm gun, shattering Lewis’s windshield and raining glass on him, police said. A bullet fragment was in Lewis’s hood, per the report.

Lewis was able to drive away and call 911

According to 6abc.com, DoorDash released a statement:

“This is an utterly shocking and senseless act of violence. We're relieved the Dasher wasn't injured and we've reached out to make sure they are okay. We've deactivated the perpetrator's account and will support law enforcement however we can to ensure justice is served.”

A preliminary hearing is set for April 3 at 12:30 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
