Warrington Police and Fire departments will face off in a friendly competition to save lives.

The American Red Cross announced the “Battle of the Badges” blood drive taking place May 29 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Warrington Fire Department, 2310 Freedoms Way, Warrington.

The event gives the community a chance to support local heroes while helping save lives.

Donors can cast their vote for either Warrington Police or Warrington Fire by donating blood, and the one with the most donations will be crowned the winner.

Every blood donation has the power to save up to three lives, said the American Red Cross.
