A felony statutory sexual assault of a juvenile charge was withdrawn at a preliminary hearing last week for a Plumstead Township man accused of having sex with a young female.

Fernando Santos Tzij-Noriega, aka Santos Tzub Alfaro, 24, who remains incarcerated at Bucks County jail on 10% of $1 million cash bail, had a felony corruption of minors charge held for Bucks County Common Pleas Court at the March 10 hearing, according to court records.

On Nov. 18, 2024, police received a report that Tzij-Noriega allegedly had sex with a juvenile female in July. He was taken into custody four days later without incident, police said.

Tzij-Noriega will be arraigned in county court in April.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
