Pennridge Regional Police said two residents reported suspicious phone calls last week, with one caller claiming to be from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Police said a resident of the 1400 block of Schoolhouse Road contacted police March 10 to report a suspicious phone call from a man with a foreign accent.
The caller told the resident he was calling from ICE, police said. The resident hung up on the caller immediately and then called the number back, however, it was busy, authorities said.
No criminal activity occurred, police said.
In a separate incident on March 11, a resident of the 1000 block of Washington Avenue reported a scam phone call advising them that they won the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes, police said.
The caller asked the resident to purchase a $500 gift card to cover processing fees, police said. The resident recognized it as a scam and hung up.
