More than two years after a Lehigh County man died of a methamphetamine overdose, a Bucks County woman has been charged in his death.
Shana Michelle Finlan, 39, of Sellersville, was charged Feb. 13 by Bucks County detectives and Quakertown Borough Police with felony counts of drug deliver resulting in death, and an associated conspiracy charge, felony possession and delivery of a controlled substance and an associated conspiracy charge, and misdemeanor charges of involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, and conspiracy to tamper with evidence, according to charging documents.
Co-defendant Debbie Lisa Booth of Center Valley is also charged alongside Finlan in the death of Kenneth Klingman, of Route 309 in Center Valley, Upper Saucon Township, per the affidavit.
Authorities said Upper Saucon Police responded to Klingman’s home for a medical emergency on Feb. 17, shortly after midnight.
Klingman was found unresponsive and lifesaving measures were unsuccessful, police said. The Lehigh County Coroner said methamphetamine toxicity was the cause of death, per the affidavit.
Police said Finlan and Booth were identified as persons of interest, and a grand jury was presented the case last month.
In the affidavit, investigators allege Finlan was a flight risk, as she had discussions about leaving the area and traveling to South Carolina once she discovered the investigation.
Finlan remains incarcerated on 10% of $500,000 cash bail, per court records.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
