Three women and a six-year-old girl were injured following a five-vehicle crash on John Fries Highway/Route 663 in Milford Township on Thursday afternoon.

Pennsylvania State Police at Dublin said the accident occurred around 4:47 p.m. at the signalized intersection with Allentown Road.

Police said a 50-year-old woman from Emmaus was driving a 2020 Lexus RX350 westbound on the highway and stopped at the light.

In front of the Lexus, there was a 2015 Ford Edge, driven by a 36-year-old woman from Quakertown who had a six-year-old girl as a passenger in a booster seat; a 2021 Toyota RAV4, driven by a 39-year-old woman from Pennsburg; and a 2016 Kenworth Northwest T100 truck, driven by a 62-year-old man from Williamsport, Pa., police said.

Police said a 54-year-old woman, driving a 2017 Honda Pilot, failed to stop in traffic, and hit the rear of the Lexus. The driver failed to stop due to speeding, police said. She told police that she suffered a medical emergency while driving and lost her vision, per the crash report.

Due to the impact, the Lexus was pushed into the rear of the RAV4, which created a chain reaction, thus colliding with the Kenworth truck in front of it, police said.

The Honda Pilot sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene. The driver was taken by St. Luke’s EMS to Grand View Hospital for treatment of injuries of unknown severity, police said.

The Lexus sustained heavy front-end and rear damage and was towed from the scene. The driver was taken by St. Luke’s EMS to St. Luke’s Upper Bucks for treatment of injuries of unknown severity, police said.

The RAV4 was also towed from the scene, due to severe front-end and rear damage, police said. The driver and the 6-year-old girl were taken by St. Luke’s EMS to St. Luke’s Hospital Bethlehem for treatment of injuries of unknown severity, police said.

The Kenworth truck sustained minor rear damage and was driven from the scene.

The drivers of the truck and the RAV4 refused medical transport, and the driver of the Honda Pilot was cited for speeding, police said.

All drivers were wearing seatbelts, police said.
