Students across the Pennridge School District hit the books over the past week for Read Across America week.
In celebration, Pennridge elementary students enjoyed story time as well as independent reading. Many students got into the spirit of the week by dressing up as characters from their favorite books.
Read Across America Week is a national event aimed at encouraging a love of reading in children. It is held annually in the beginning of March, coinciding with the birthday of Dr. Seuss.
