K-9 search underway for missing 61-year-old Plumstead Township man

The announcement was made by authorities Monday afternoon

Plumstead Township Police have dispatched a K-9 unit to search for a missing 61-year-old township man Monday afternoon.

A search is underway in the areas of Plumstead Chase, Durham Ridge, North Branch and the Gardenville, in the Pipersville section of the township, police said.

At this time, there is no indication of a threat to the community, and police urged everyone to remain calm and cooperative.

"We are working diligently to locate the missing individual and ensure their safe return. We will provide updates as more information becomes available," police said. 

The missing man's name was not released by police.
