  • Things To Do

On Sunday, Puck Live Doylestown will transform into a buzzing hub of creativity, community, and unforgettable music for the Friends of Nook Festival -- a 12-hour celebration of original music, local art, and artistic expression for the whole family.

The event promises to deliver something for everyone.

Hosted by Nook Nook Creative Village and Stage United, this festival is designed to highlight the range of local musical talent and to support the flourishing arts scene in Central Bucks.

A Full Day of Live Music

The festival will kick off at 11 a.m., showcasing local talent with a series of one-hour concerts throughout the day. The energy will be contagious as the afternoon gives way to evening performances, each adding its own distinct flavor to the mix.

The day’s first performances come from talented bands made up of students from Nook Nook. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., these future rock stars will take to the stage, offering up everything from folk to funk.

The Full Lineup

As the afternoon continues, the festival's lineup will expand to feature a variety of musical genres from local and national acts.

At 4:15 p.m., the spacey, jazz-funk trio Colacore will take the stage, offering a cosmic journey that promises to "pave their creative path wherever they go."

From there, Instant Bingo takes the stage at 6:30 p.m., a hyper-folk-rock band that is as much about wacky fun as it is about connecting with heartfelt tunes, according to the event website.

At 7:15 p.m., The Great Bonfire will light up the stage with their soulful blend of rock, Americana, and funk, before Archawah — a band helmed by Chris Archibald, best known for his work with the band Illinois — takes the stage at 8 p.m.

Archibald’s music has been featured in television shows like "Weeds" and in video games like "NBA2K10."

Fun for the Whole Family

While the music is the main draw, the Festival is designed to offer fun for attendees of all ages. Throughout the day, there will be creative activities, as well as art installations, interactive workshops, and local vendors.

All profits from the event will go toward bringing more live music and creative experiences to Central Bucks County through Stage United, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering arts and culture in the region.
