It’s Tuesday and we survived the February doldrums, so let’s celebrate with a new list of exciting performances happening in the City of Brotherly Love. Downtown Philadelphia is just a short drive away and is filled with so many opportunities to create special memories with family and friends. From new musicals to classical ballet, we will bring you the best tickets in town each week.

This week we have performances that span from Tuesday, Mar. 4 to Monday, Mar. 10, 2025. If you’ve seen news of a show coming to Philly and want to be sure we don’t miss promoting it here, email [email protected].

Philadelphia Ballet’s ‘Swan Lake’

Swan Lake returns to the Academy of Music performed by the Philadelphia Ballet this March. Set to the score by Tchaikovsky and choreographed by Angel Corella, this dance masterpiece tells the story of the forbidden romance between Prince Siegfried and his shapeshifting lover Odette.

The ballet runs 2 hours and 8 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission.

Performances start on Thursday, Mar. 6 and run to Sunday Mar. 16 at the Academy of Music.

‘Nightside Songs’ at Suzanne Roberts Theatre

Don’t miss the world premiere of Nightside Songs at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. Written by Daniel and Patrick Lazour, it is a musical “of, by and for the people of Philadelphia.”

The 90-minute immersive performance takes an intimate look at the challenges of being a caregiver in Philadelphia and is based on real interviews with local doctors, staff and patients.

The show is running until Sunday, Mar. 9 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre.

John Byrne Band at World Café Live

On Friday, Mar. 7, at 8 p.m., the John Byrne Band will be bringing its unique styling of Celtic and American folk rock to the World Café Live.

The John Byrne Band is led by John Byrne, a Dublin native who now calls Philadelphia home. The band’s music is influenced by both Byrne’s native and adopted homes.
