A New York man pleaded guilty last month to a felony charge of statutory sexual assault by a defendant eight to 11 years older for impregnating a teen in Warminster Township.
Elmer Bladimir Perez-Martinez, 22, of Copiague NY, will be sentenced at a later date, pending a sex offender assessment and registration. He has been at Bucks County jail on 10% of $300,000 cash bail since Sept. 5, 2024.
On Aug. 13, detectives began the investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old, according to an affidavit. The victim told police she was six weeks pregnant, and Perez-Martinez was the father, police said. The two engaged in consensual sex, police allege, six times from February to May 2024.
On Aug. 20, police interviewed the accused and Perez-Martinez admitted that he knew the victim was underage and believed the child was his, authorities allege.
