A warrant has been issued by Central Bucks Regional Police for the arrest of a Philadelphia woman, who is banned for life from Giant Food stores, for allegedly stealing more than $800 in Tide detergent from the store in New Britain Borough this month.
Azsha Madina Rothmiller, 29, of the 2500 block of Cecil B. Moore Ave., was charged last week with felony counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property, misdemeanor theft, and defiant trespassing for an incident that occurred June 3 at 6:17 p.m. at the 200 Town Center store.
On June 6, police were dispatched to the store for a report of a prior retail theft, which was discovered during an inventory count. Police said Rothmiller is seen on video surveillance entering the grocery store with a shopping cart, grabbing three reusable bags, and walking around the store before selecting Tide detergent bottles.
She then went to the Health & Beauty section, where she allegedly selected multiple items. After eight minutes, she walked around the store, until leaving at 7:08 p.m. without paying, police said. All in all, the stolen Tide equated to $803.49, according to the complaint.
Police said Rothmiller has committed prior thefts at other Giant locations, to the point where she was given a trespassing notice that she signed on Jan. 18, 2024. The notice prohibits Rothmiller from entering any Giant location – forever, police said.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Rothmiller is asked to contact Officer Brian Keenan at 215-345-4143 or submit a tip online.
