Pennridge Regional Police are investigating several cases of fraud and theft reported by residents of West Rockhill Township in recent days.
On June 9, a resident of the 2000 block of Cathill Road contacted police to report fraudulent transactions involving their checking account. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, and the total monetary loss has yet to be determined.
Also on June 9, police were contacted by a resident of the 300 block of Ridge Road regarding unauthorized purchases made on their debit card. The resident believes the card was compromised following a Doordash transaction. More than $1,200 in fraudulent purchases were reportedly made at retail locations in Philadelphia. The resident was reimbursed by their bank, and no further police action is required.
On June 14, officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Allentown Road for a report of stolen property. The resident reported that nearly $700 in cash and two wedding rings valued at approximately $8,200 had been taken. Police said the case remains under investigation.
In another ongoing investigation, a resident of the 1800 block of Upper Rocky Dale Road reported that a firearm had gone missing from their home at some point over the past two months.
