Free estate planning seminars for Bucks County seniors begins next week

 Bucks County Register of Wills Linda Bobrin will conduct her third annual Senior Center Tour this summer.

Bobrin, an attorney, will be offering presentations on wills, estate planning, and inheritance tax at locations across the county.

Joined by her staff, Bobrin will lead hour-long sessions designed to provide seniors with an overview of the probate process, inheritance tax and the requirements for a valid will. The presentations will include examples of wills accepted into probate, and audience questions and participation are encouraged.

The tour dates are:

• June 24, 10 a.m.: Bensalem Senior Center
• July 8, 11:30 a.m.: Upper Bucks Senior Center
• July 11, 10 a.m.: Bristol Township Senior Center
• July 14, 10:45 a.m.: Middletown Township Senior Center
• July 29, 10 a.m.: Morrisville Senior Center
• July 31, 12:30 p.m.: Central Bucks Senior Center
• Aug. 5, 1 p.m.: Eastern Upper Bucks Senior Center
• Aug. 6, 10:30 a.m.: Neshaminy Senior Center
• Aug. 19, 11:30 a.m.: Northampton Township Senior Center
• Aug. 26, 10:45 a.m.: Pennridge Senior Center

The Bucks County Register of Wills is responsible for appointing the personal representative of a deceased person’s estate and acts as the state’s agent for collecting inheritance tax. The office is looking to assist the public, including those experiencing the loss of a loved one.
