To All Members of the Buckingham Township Community,
The civil unrest taking place nationally and the recent reporting of potential protests in Philadelphia and other suburban communities is on many of our minds.
The Board of Supervisors, as well as business owners and residents have reached out to me with questions and concerns.
On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, I would like to assure you that the Buckingham Township Police will have increased staffing in place as these events unfold and have coordinated with our regional and County law enforcement partners on various response options and protocols.
We have also coordinated with Emergency Management and are prepared to receive and/or provide assistance based upon long-standing Mutual Aid response plans. We are closely monitoring all Federal, State, and Local Intelligence for any information that could impact our community.
During this uncertain time, our officers will continue to immediately respond to all emergency calls and take action without delay when required.
The Buckingham Township Police will do everything within its capabilities to provide for the safety and security of its citizens.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding, and will do our best to continue to keep you informed.
Yours in Service,
David J. Scirrotto
Chief of Police
