Perkasie Police, Pennridge FISH hosting food drive for summer school lunch program

The Perkasie Borough Police Department is teaming up with Pennridge FISH to support the School Lunches for Kids Program on Friday, June 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. 

Community members are invited to participate by donating non-perishable food items in front of Landis Supermarket at 543 Constiution Ave., Perkasie.

Police officers will be on-site collecting donations, which will be placed into police vehicles and delivered directly to Pennridge FISH. The goal of the drive is to help provide meals for children who rely on free school lunches during the academic year but face food insecurity during the summer months.

Requested donation items include:

  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Canned tuna
  • Canned chicken
  • Canned chili
  • Canned pasta
  • Mac and cheese
  • Ramen
  • Juice (bottles or boxes)
  • Granola bars
  • Applesauce
  • Fruit cups
  • Pudding and Jello cups
  • Fruit snacks
  • Raisins
  • Cereal
  • Mayonnaise
  • Instant oatmeal
  • Other non-perishable snacks and food items


All collected items will go directly toward supporting local families in need.
