Easton Road closed Tuesday afternoon due to live wires in roadway after SUV driver crashes into pole

A single-vehicle crash on Easton Road in Warrington Township has closed the roadway in both directions after striking a utility pole, snapping it near its base and causing live wires to fall across the roadway.

The accident occurred shortly before 11:45 a.m. near the Chipotle.

According to reports from the scene, the driver of a silver Hyundai SUV hit the pole, causing the SUV to rollover.

The driver was trapped in the SUV, rescued by fire personnel and transported to an area hospital by EMS.

Warrington Police were assisted at the scene by Warrington and Warminster fire companies.
