The West Rockhill Board of Supervisors Wednesday, June 16 approved a new FASTSIGNS store at 835 Lawn Avenue.
The 1,500-square-feet store will sit on the 50,000-square-foot property previously occupied by a Univest bank, with 24 on-site parking spaces and three drive-thru lanes on the left side of the property.
FASTSIGNS is an international custom sign and visual solutions company. Franchise owner Steve described the store as a smaller satellite location that will primarily handle sales, in contrast to the franchise’s main operation in Montgomeryville. The hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, with an estimated two to three total employees, said Nave.
“It will be a relatively quiet operation,” said Nave at the board’s June meeting. “We may have four-to-five people come through store, but most interaction is done via email or phone. Some people come to pick up signs.”
The approval is conditioned upon the prohibition of any external storage of equipment, inventory, merchandise or customer property.
NPWA water line connection
The board approved a Telford Borough Authority (TBA) agreement permitting the connection of residences on the eastern and southern side of Ridge Road to a new North Penn Water Authority (NPWA) water transmission line. The line is currently under construction, with completion expected next month. The agreement applies to existing properties only.
The board discussed some upcoming township events, including Flick ‘n’ Float at the Holiday House Pool on August 8, Adult Night Out at the pool on August 16, Septemberfest at James Memorial Park on September 28 from 12 to 4 p.m., and Feature Film and a Fire at James Memorial Park on October 18 at dusk, featuring the original Home Alone movie.
