A New York man who pleaded guilty in February to a felony charge of statutory sexual assault by a defendant eight to 11 years older for impregnating a teen in Warminster Township was sentenced to 23 months in prison, given credit for time served between September 2024 and June 2025, and granted immediate parole to an ICE detainer, according to Bucks County Common Pleas Court records.

Elmer Bladimir Perez-Martinez, 22, of Copiague NY, will be under sex offender supervision, per court documents.

On Aug. 13, 2024, detectives began the investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old, according to an affidavit. The victim told police she was six weeks pregnant, and Perez-Martinez was the father, police said.

The two engaged in consensual sex, police allege, six times from February to May 2024.

On Aug. 20, 2024, police interviewed the accused and Perez-Martinez admitted that he knew the victim was underage and believed the child was his, authorities allege.

A misdemeanor charge of indecent assault on a person less than 16 years old was withdrawn at a November preliminary hearing.

Perez-Martinez was represented by attorney Brendan Campbell of Norristown.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
