A man was hit by a car at the intersection of County Line and Doylestown roads in Montgomery Township Thursday afternoon, sending the patient to Grand View Hospital for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries.
The 3:14 pm. accident involved a silver Lexus, which sustained a shattered passenger side windshield after the crash. The victim was reported to be conscious and alert, with bloody facial injuries, according to reports at the scene.
According to Montgomery County dispatch reports, witnesses said the man was riding a bicycle, which is unconfirmed at this time.
Doylestown Road/Route 202 has ben reduced to one lane near County Line Road.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Montgomery Township Police were assisted by Fire Department of Montgomery Township and VMSC Emergency Medical Services.
