Dermatology Partners has announced plans to open a new office, continuing its expansion throughout the region. The new location — scheduled to open in early August — will be located in Doylestown, Bucks County.

The clinic will be led by Dr. Aziz Khan, who is experienced in dermatology, internal medicine, and public health, according to a press release announcing the new location for the Berks County-based Dermatology Partners.

According to Andy Frankel, chief operating officer at Dermatology Partners, the new office will open access in Upper Bucks County — an area Frankel said has been  underserved for Dermatology.

“Dr. Kahn’s background in global medicine differentiates him from other dermatologists in our region and reinforces Dermatology Partners’ mission to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care backed by advanced treatments,” Frankel said in a statement.

Khan completed his dermatology residency at the University of Connecticut. Before that he completed an internal medicine residency at UConn Health and served as an assistant professor of internal medicine. Khan’s background includes global health work with Médecins Sans Frontières and Save the Children.

“Joining this forward-thinking, patient-centric medical practice allows me to offer the highest standard of care while continuing to provide accessibility, innovation, and community impact. I’m excited to build long-term relationships with patients in Doylestown and beyond,” Khan said in a statement.

Khan’s professional affiliations include the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Physicians, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, and Aga Khan University Alumni Association.

The new office will be located at 3900 Mechanicsville Road, Building 500, Suite 512, in Doylestown.

Dermatology Partners is a privately owned, physician-led dermatology group specializing in medical and surgical dermatology. Headquartered in Amity Township, Berks County, the practice serves patients across the Mid-Atlantic region in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

The practice includes more than 40 clinics, including offices in Berks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. In March, the practice announced it had acquired the Hatfield Township, Montgomery County practice of Dr. Alan Mineroff.

In January, Dermatology Partners opened a new dermatopathology laboratory in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County — just outside of Pottstown. The lab is processing specimens from Dermatology Partners’ locations from across its geographic footprint, providing diagnostic support to identify skin cancers and diagnose other diseases of the skin, the company said.
