A New Britain Township man is in hot water after some alleged lewd behavior in a hot tub at LA Fitness.
Police were dispatched to the gym at 599 Paul Valley Road in Warrington Township on June 8, 2025, following a report of a man engaging in lewd behavior in the facility’s hot tub.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to two staff members and a gym member, who related that Ronald F. Bratis, 53, was found to be engaging in a sexual act while observing explicit material on his cell phone, according to a criminal complaint.
Bratis, of the 200 block of Inverness Circle, allegedly fled the premises prior to police arrival. A warrant was issued by police, charging him with misdemeanor counts of disseminating explicit sexual material via electronic devices and open lewdness, according to court records.
Bratis turned himself in on June 30, 2025, and he was processed and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman, who set bail at $25,000 unsecured. Both charges were moved to Bucks County Common Pleas Court, following a waiver of a July 2 preliminary hearing.
He will be arraigned in county court on Aug. 1, and a pre-trial hearing is already scheduled for Sept. 2, per court records. Bratis is represented by Doylestown attorney William Penglase.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
