It was a “purrfect” morning for MeWow Cat Café, Bucks County’s one-of-a-kind, "out of the box” cat adoption center to celebrate the grand opening of its a new, larger location at 4161 East Swamp Road in Buckingham Township, right across the borderlines from Doylestown Township and Borough.
Featuring organic artisan coffees and teas, locally crafted desserts, and adoptable cats, MeWow held a grand opening celebration Thursday at 11 a.m. with dozens of patrons and supporters in attendance. With 3,900 square feet of space, the new café offers guests an even more comfortable and welcoming environment to enjoy coffee, conversation, and quality time with feline friends.
Since opening in August 2019, MeWow Cat Café — founded by Eilene Kramer and inspired by her daughter Karla — has partnered with several animal rescue organizations including:
The café donates all the space and supplies needed to care for the cats who reside in cozy “alleys.” Entrance fees for Kitty Corral go directly toward supporting the care and comfort of the adoptable cats until they find loving homes. To date, more than 600 cats have been adopted thanks to the efforts of MeWow and its rescue partners.

(Credit: Debbie Goetz)In addition to its signature blend of great food, coffee, and cat companionship, the new MeWow Cat Café location includes a cuddle room available for licensed care professionals and their patients. Plans are also underway for private party and meeting space rentals, music nights, as well as specially themed events hosted throughout the year. They also intend to expand their menu with desserts and snack items sourced from local businesses.
“It’s been a wild ride since we opened MeWow Café, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” said Kramer. “I got my first cat when I was four years old and I haven’t lived without one since. I knew the joy having animals around me has brought, so I was excited to bring that to Bucks County.” Kramer continued, “My hope was that others would love coffee and cats as much as I do, and the response has been more than I could have imagined. With our move to a new location, I invite everyone to make a reservation and visit our new and improved space. We can’t wait to meet you in purr-son!”
