Authorities investigating reported homicide of woman in Bucks County home

89-year-old woman found deceased in Hilltown Township; officials say there is no known threat to public

A homicide investigation is underway in Bucks County after an 89-year-old woman was found dead inside her home in Hilltown Township Thursday evening.

Police responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Rickert Road at approximately 7:20 p.m. Thursday, where the woman was discovered deceased. 

Her identity has not yet been released.

The investigation is being led by the Hilltown Township Police Department, with assistance from the Bucks County Detectives, Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, and Bucks County Coroner’s Office. 

Members of the Crime Scene Unit of the Central Bucks Special Response Team were also called in to assist at the scene.

Authorities have not disclosed the manner of death or any details regarding possible suspects, citing the early and active stage of the investigation. 

However, officials noted that there is no known threat to the public at this time.

The case is being prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Jovin Jose.
