A Warminster Township woman has been charged with felony counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing more than $200 worth of health and beauty products and chargers from Giant Food Store in October.

Authorities filed charges against Kimberly Ann Metz, 55, of the 70th block of Hidden Woods Lane, on Jan. 17 for an arrest that occurred Oct. 8 at the 720 W. Street Road store, according to the affidavit.

On Oct. 9, Warminster Police were dispatched to a report of retail theft that occurred the day prior at 2:30 p.m., police said.

According to police, Metz entered Giant wearing a Burger King T-shirt and carrying a reusable bag. She then allegedly selected numerous items and placed them in her bag, in all totaling $204.86, police said.

Metz placed the following items in her bag, police said: A $16 charger, a $22 charging cable, a $26 wireless charger, $9 in pain medication, a $12 bottle of Head & Shoulders shampoo, a $21 box of hair dye, a $21 bottle of L’oreal wrinkle cream, a $20 bottle of Olay serum, $15 in NP eye cream, $30 in Neutrogena wrinkle cream, and a $12 package of frozen meatballs.

Metz then placed the items in her bag, inside a cart, and then left the store without paying, police allege.

According to police, Metz has two prior retail theft convictions.

Metz is free on $25,000 unsecured bail and has a preliminary hearing March 17 at 1:15 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Christopher E. O'Neill.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
