A Warrington Township LensCrafters employee has been arrested and charged with stealing 280 pairs of sunglasses worth $8,560.
Kenneth Gibson, 41, of Philadelphia, was charged Jan. 13 by Warrington Township Police with felony counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property, per court records.
On July 11, 2024, LensCrafters Asset Protection contacted police about an employee theft.
An investigation found that Gibson was allegedly stealing merchandise and then selling the stolen merchandise online, police said.
Gibson was interviewed by authorities and admitted to stealing them, police said.
He was arrested in Lower Frederick Township on Friday, police said.
He was arraigned and released on $15,000 unsecured bail, per court records. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 27 at 9 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman.
