With anticipated freezing rain and snow expected in Bucks County on Saturday through Sunday night, Warminster Township has issued a Declaration of Disaster Emergency.

Police said that during a snow-related emergency, the following ordinances are in effect:

  • It shall be unlawful to park, or allow to be parked, any motor vehicle on any road or street within the Township when an emergency has been declared by the Township Manager or his/her designee until rescinded.
  • No person removing snow or ice from public sidewalks or private property shall throw, shovel, push, plow, or otherwise move snow or ice into the public street.

Police said drivers must remove any vehicles from the street before the start of the declaration so that plowing operations can be done as safely and efficiently as possible.

Vehicles found to be in violation and hindering plowing operations will be towed, police said.

Warminster Police will distribute warning notices in the neighborhoods before the declaration as a reminder to all residents.  Warminster Police will also enforce all township ordinances during the storm.
