The Warminster Township Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce the hiring of Nicole Rinier as the Township’s new tax collector. Rinier is a lifelong resident of Warminster Township and a graduate of William Tennent High School. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, and both a Master of Public Policy and a Master of Business Administration degree from Brandeis University.
Rinier brings to the role her many years of public service experience. She began her career working and volunteering for various local nonprofit organizations. Most recently, she served as the Chief of Staff to State Representative Brian Munroe, (D) 144th District and as a member of the Warminster Township Planning Commission. In addition to her work and volunteer experience, Rinier earned the Pennsylvania’s Qualified Tax Collector Certification, issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).
Rinier was preceded in the role by longtime tax collector, Barbara “Bobbie” Loftus who is retiring after 25 years of service to the Township. During her tenure as Warminster Township Tax Collector, Loftus was instrumental in streamlining and speeding up the tax collection process.
Prior to working for Warminster Township, Loftus worked for St Cyril of Jerusalem Church for 19 years. Her service as the township’s tax collector was recognized at a recent Township Supervisor’s meeting attended by the Township Supervisors, family members and special guests. State Representative Brian Munroe, (D) 144th District, a former Warminster Township Supervisor, presented Loftus with a proclamation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, as well as a flag that was flown over the State Capital in her honor.
“Bobbie has served her community, both in the private and public sector, with dedication, commitment and integrity, for over 44 years,” said Katherine L. Frescatore, Chair, Warminster Township Board of Supervisors. “We are grateful for her service to Warminster Township and wish her all the best as she embarks upon her retirement.”
