Perkasie Borough Police on Friday announced that Sellersville woman was taken into custody on Jan. 2 on a warrant issued for her alleged role in an arson incident in November that destroyed a car and shed.

Police said the Nov. 1 fire occurred on Maple Avenue in the borough, where a blaze spread to nearby brush, an unoccupied car, and a shed. Perkasie Police and Sellersville Fire Department responded to the scene to put out the blaze.
An arrest warrant for Alverio was issued on Dec. 23, police said. She was taken into custody on Jan. 2, arraigned, and jailed on 10% of $20,000 cash bail, according to court documents. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 11 at 1:45 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage.
According to court records, Alverio has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 23 before Magisterial District Judge Lisa J. Gaier, stemming from a felony criminal trespassing arrest in August 2024 in Richland Township.
Alverio also awaits a pre-trial hearing next month in Bucks County Common Pleas Court from another August 2024 arrest in Richland Township on misdemeanor drug charges, per court records.
